The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is an industry-wide group of over 80 leading apparel and footwear brands, retailers, suppliers, nonprofits, and NGOs working to reduce the environmental and social impacts of apparel and footwear products around the world.
The focus of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition is The Higg Index that measures the environmental performance of apparel products. Future versions will include footwear products and measure social performance.
The SAC is preparing to accept new materials into the MSI for Higg Index 2.0. The Materials Working Group has drafted guidelines for submitting new material data. To test this process, SAC is running a material data submission pilot between May and October of this year. If you are interested in adding new or updated data to the MSI during the pilot, click here to review the MSI governance documents!
